We are a team of local movers ready to assist you with your short-distance moving needs. Our journey began in 1976 as a small, but highly efficient crew operating in Little Falls, NJ performing international moves. In 2001, we moved to PA and expanded our moving services to include comprehensive intrastate and interstate moves.
What Is Considered a 'Local' Move
For us, a local move is defined as within a 40-mile radius of your starting point. If your relocation extends beyond 40 miles, rest assured that Alpha International Moving also provides high-quality long-distance moving services, among others.

- Free Estimates & In-Home Consultation – Your choice of a FREE in-home or phone/virtual consultation.
- Packing & Unpacking Services – if you choose not to pack your belongs yourself, we will pack, move, and unpack your belongings and furniture. If you are placing any of your items in storage with us, we will design and build crates for your possessions.
- Furniture Disassembly & Reassembly – We’ll take care of your furniture and disassemble and reassemble it for your move.
- Moving Supplies – Moving boxes, specialty boxes, specialty packing tape, floor coverings, and more.
- Specialty Item Moving – Help moving delicate/heavy items such as pianos, gun safes, antiques, and more.
- Storage Services – Short and long-term vault storage is available at our 12,000 square foot warehouse in Delaware Water Gap, PA. As an agent for Wheaton Van Lines, we also have access to hundreds of secure storage locations throughout the entire US to assist in your move.
- In-Home Moving – Moving heavy appliances and furniture within your home.
- College Moving – Moving your son or daughter locally to your dorm or off-campus housing on move-in day.
- Commercial Moving – We’re equipped to move your commercial equipment and furniture locally or across the country.
Our Local Moving Rates
Moves less than 40 miles apart are priced hourly, for moves over 41 miles apart, charges are figured by the weight of the move.
LOCAL RATES (5 HOUR MINIMUM:
- $130/hour for 2 men and a truck
- $170/hour for 3 men and a truck
- $210/hour for 4 men and a truck
- $250/hour for 5 men and a truck
- Fuel Surcharge (subject to change the 15th of every month)
- Travel time from warehouse to origin address and again from destination address back to warehouse.
